Member Service Representative (Leaves Processing)

Role overview

The Waterfront Employers of British Columbia (WEBC) is looking for an office support worker with exceptional administrative skills and a team focused attitude who is looking for full-time work on a 12 month contract to September 2024.  The Member Service Representative – Leaves Processing will work closely with WEBC team members in administering Federal Leave claims.  This is a front-line position serving clients in-person, over the phone, and electronically and providing administrative support to the benefits team. Daily responsibilities are assigned and supervised by the Benefits Manager.

Trusted Teammate: You are a self-starter who is able to work independently and who sees the value of collaboration.

Key accountabilities

Working as a member of the Benefits team, the Member Service Representative – Leaves Processing, will support the administration of Federally-regulated Leave programs for the Waterfront Industry, as well as processing of payment and customer service enquiries.  Additionally the role will include assisting with general office administration, including processing (logging, sorting, distributing) incoming and outgoing mail as required.

Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Proficient with formula calculations both manually and in Excel
  • In-person at WEBC office
  • Full-time five (5) days per week (8 hours per day) during regular business hours
