About WEBC

The Waterfront Employers of British Columbia (WEBC) is a not-for-profit third party pension and benefits administrator.

We are a partner and resource to the waterfront industry in BC. We support the administration of health benefits & pension trusts, as well as process health and pension benefits for approximately 7,000 active and retired Longshore and Foremen members and their dependents. 

Our vision

Our vision is a healthy Waterfront workforce that supports the Community and the Economy.

To do our part, we will exceed the service expectations of our members and stakeholders, and in delivering on that promise build WEBC into the trusted advisor and administrator of Pension and Benefits for the entire BC Waterfront Industry.

This will allow us the opportunity to have an impact on health and wellbeing that goes far beyond coverage levels and plan design.

The benefits team:

The WEBC Benefits team consists of a small group of dedicated, cross-functional administrators responsible for 1:1 member service, hour-bank administration, claims adjudication, case management and payments.  

Much like the waterfront workers they support, the benefits team is culturally diverse and they bring professional experience from around the globe into the local, personalized and one-to-one member service they provide every day.

The pension team:

The WEBC Pension team have built their careers around providing pension services to union workers. The team takes pride in the one-to one support they provide to members as they transition from work to retirement, during what can be a most difficult time in a person’s life.
